Sharing Day
The purpose of this day is for us to have an opportunity to tell about what God has been doing in our lives throughout the course of this summer/this study. You can share one of your favorite principles and how it has affected your life, you can tell about something God has been teaching you, or whatever you would like to share with us. I'll go first.....
I feel a little sad writing this last post. This study has been difficult for me at times, but it has also been very very good for me. Last year, as I studied Moses, God was really teaching me about contentment. I learned how to be joyful in any situation, and that has really come in handy this summer! A lot of life changes have happened for me in the past 100 days, and it has certainly helped me to know how to be content. But I think in my personal relationship with God I was a little too content...I was lazy. I didn't have a consistent daily quiet time, and my prayer time was weak. Throughout this study, I have been forced to take time out of each day to spend in God's word - and I am so glad. I don't know how I ever lived without it. I feel so close with God. This study has really helped me to develop a stronger relationship with Him. I am so ready to find out what He's going to show me next!
I want to say to all of you who did the study, Thank you!! And to all of you who posted comments, Thank you!! I would log on to this page at least 4 times a day to see if anyone had commented yet. I learned so much from all of you, and I am very grateful for that!

DAY 100!!!
September 1
Mark 16:19-20
ATTENTION: Please check the site out tomorrow. We will be having a sharing day, which is basically a chance for people to tell what they have learned/what God has shown them throughout the course of the study. Today is the last lesson day, but don't forget to come back tomorrow for day 101- Sharing Day!
Question number three today says, "What work does He want to do though me this week? this day?" Anyone who is a teacher or who has children generally measures time by the school year. Therefore, September- not January- is the beginning of the year because it is when summer ends and school starts. So..Happy New Year! I have often heard the question, "What are you going to do this year?" In fact, when I read the 3rd application question I wondered why they didn't include 'this year?' as a part of the question. But that got me thinking....I often set long term goals. It's easy to say, "This year, I'm going to -fill in the blank." But what about short term goals? What work does God want me to do TODAY? Maybe you've been telling yourself that you need to share the gospel with this certain person, but you've been putting it off. "I'll do it soon - sometime this year." Well, what's wrong with now? We are the disciples of today. We are the ones that God has entrusted to spread His Word. It is our job! The bible doesn't say that the disciples waited around until they felt comfortable and then went to spread the news. It says, "the disciples went out and preached everywhere." It's our turn. What are you waiting for?
Principle: Jesus is in heaven but also with men working out His will on earth.
Application:
1. What difference does it make to me that Jesus is seated at God's right hand?
2. Do I confidently expect that Jesus will give me power to speak for Him?
3. What work does He want to do through me this week? this day?

Day 99
August 31
Mark 16:15-18
If you read this in the mornings, you might have noticed that I was on the wrong verses yesterday. I accidentally posted this post (day 99) a day early. So, you may have already read this one. If you missed yesterday's principle, I posted it last night. Sorry for the confusion. (but considering I made it 98 days before any major mess ups...I think that's pretty good!)
We have discussed the importance of sharing the gospel throughout this whole study. Today, I just want to share with you the song that pops in my head when I think about witnessing.
There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame
Carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world
Principle: Christians, called and commissioned by Jesus, are equipped with His authority and power to preach the gospel.
Application:
1. What is my part in God's plan for the world's evangelization?
2. Has my family had the opportunity to believe in Jesus because I have shared the gospel with them?
3. What signs of God's power are seen in my ministry (life)?

Day 98
August 30
Mark 16:9-14
Sorry for the confusion! I accidentally skipped over today's verses. Here is the principle and questions for day 98. I will be reposting day 99 tomorrow.
Principle: I demonstrate faith in Jesus when I discern and accept the truth about Him and believe His promises without the need to ask.
Application:
1. For what unbelief will the Lord rebuke me?
2. What do I use as a basis for determining if what I hear or read is true?
3. How do I show I have complete faith in the eyewitness accounts of Christ's life, death, resurrection and ascension as stated in the Bible?

Day 97
August 29
Mark 16:1-8
I searched for 'religious leaders' on google. I found a site that had a huge list of religious leaders including: Mohamed, Buddha, Martin Luther, Jesus, Joseph Smith, and Moses to name a few. All of these people, no matter their views, were very influential and their religions are still present in today's world. But, there is only one religious leader who is still present in today's world. There is one person on that list that differs from all the rest...because He is the only one who is ALIVE!! Aren't you glad you aren't trusting your life to someone who isn't even living?
Principle: Jesus is risen; He is not in the tomb.
Application:
1. Have I examined and believed the evidence of Jesus' resurrection?
2. How has the assurance of Jesus' resurrection changed my thinking or actions?
3. With whom will I share the fact of the Resurrection this week?

Day 96
August 28
Mark 15:42-47
Joseph was a really popular name back in bible times. So who was this Joseph? He was a “prominent member of the Council”. That council is the Sanhedrin, the highest Jewish authority of that time. It was the same council that had previously been looking for ways to arrest Jesus. Up until this point in scripture we didn’t know that Joseph of Arimathea was a believer in Jesus. Ironically, he was a member of the very council wishing Jesus dead. He might have lost his job, experienced great persecution, or worse if his peers had known his heart. I’m not making excuses for him; I’m just saying it’s easy to see why he kept quiet. But after Jesus’ death, Joseph was silent no more. He “went boldly to Pilate” to ask for Jesus’ body. That took a lot of courage. Sometimes doing the right thing is uncomfortable. Standing up for Jesus can be hard and scary, but God gives us the boldness and the courage that we need to get the job done!
Principle: Love for Christ gives courage and boldness to do what is right in difficult situations.
Application:
1. Do I do as God directs me even when it seems dangerous?
2. What opportunity is Jesus giving me this week to spend time and money for His body, the church? Will I use that opportunity or let it pass?
3. How will I demonstrate my love for Jesus today, even though the situation seems dead or hopeless?

Day 95
August 27
Mark 15:38-41
Remember the invisible barrier that I talked about yesterday? It's the sin that separates us from God. Well, before Jesus' death that barrier wasn't so invisible. In fact it was symbolized in the form of a curtain in the temple. The curtain separated the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. "For inside of the Tabernacle, make a curtain of finely woven linen. Decorate it with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with skillfully embroidered cherubim. Hang this curtain on gold hooks attached to four posts of acacia wood. Overlay the posts with gold, and set them in four silver bases. Hang the inner curtain from clasps, and put the Ark of the Covenant in the room behind it. This curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place." (Exodus 26:31-33 NLT) The Most Holy Place was the inner room that represented God's presence. So, the curtain really was the symbol of our separation from God. When Jesus died, that curtain was ripped in two. Jesus' death took away the barrier, and made a way for us to have a relationship with God. "And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain to the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water." (Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT)
Principle: Jesus' death on the cross opened the way for all who believe in Him to have intimate fellowship with God.
Application:
1. Do I remember to give thanks because Jesus gave Himself in order that I might have access to God?
2. What will I do to bring others face-to-face with Jesus so He can draw them to Himself?
3. What can I do to minister in Jesus' name?
