Mark 10:13-16
Today’s principle reminds me of a Wal-Mart commercial that says something about how kids don’t know how the hot dogs got on the grill, or where the popsicles came from…they just think it’s the magic of summer. (something like that) Kids tend to believe in the impossible and follow along blindly. That is not a great approach to life necessarily, but it is a great approach to faith. In fact, Jesus says, “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (vs. 15 NIV) Children are receptive, trusting, and dependant. We need to be receptive of the Holy Spirits calling. We need to trust in things we can’t see. And we need to depend on the fact that what God says is the truth.
Principle: To enter the kingdom of God requires coming to God in childlike faith.
Application:
1. How do I bring my child to Jesus for His blessing?
2. How is my attitude hindering someone coming to Christ?
3. Where can I today receive the “little” people of the kingdom with joy?

"He put his hands on them and blessed them." I'm not a hugger. I hug more than my fair share but it's not natural for me. I hug because of this passage. Jesus touched the children (in an appropriate, loving way). Touch is a great way to show love. Jesus touched lepers (a big no-no), let a sinful woman touch his feet with her hair (a bigger no-no); he touched the eyes of the blind man, etc. Here he touched the children. Lord, help me get over my personal space issues and show your love through touch.
