Day 91

August 23
Mark 15:16-20

Principle:
1. When a man is unrestricted and uninhibited, his total deprivation is revealed.
2. Jesus is King over all whether anyone declares Him so or not.

Application:
1. What do I do when I am unrestrained?
2. In what areas of my life do my actions make a mockery of Jesus’ kingship?
3. How do I respond when others around me mock Jesus today?

2 comments:

  1. I thought a lot about you today, Sarah. I know you moved. I looked up your new town on Google maps and saw it was 7 hours 15 min. from Joplin and not great roads in between. I will be praying for a good adjustment for you and for you and Aaron to find a good church.

Question 1: My dad says there are three major philosophys of life 1) Cage the creature, 2) Let the creature go wild or 3) Control the creature. The first is legalism, the second is liberalism and the third is the way of Christ. God, keep my sinful desires in check without leading me into legalism. "The fruit of the Spirit is ... self control."

  2. I always have mixed emotions when I read this passage. The beating and pain Jesus endured for me. Yet He did not say a word or complain once during this horrible experience. I have NOTHING to complain about in life. I am glad that Jesus endured this for my sins even though I am not worthy of His awesome love.
Sarah you will have many praying for your adjustment as you settle in your new home.
